The Indiana General Assembly is considering bills that will harm Hoosiers at risk of hunger. Please take action to share your voice!
Bills before the Indiana General Assembly currently end SNAP Emergency Allotments (EA) on April 16, 2022, the end of the current federal public health emergency. With this date, low income Hoosiers will miss out on $200M in federal benefits to afford healthier food options for their families, purchased at more than 5,000 Indiana retailers.
SNAP continues to serve nearly 10% of all Hoosiers, helping many low income families to put enough food on their tables. Please tell your elected officials to support amendments to HB 1001 or SB 3 to allow SNAP EA to extend for the duration of the federal public health emergency.
